Brushing your baby's teeth

You should begin brushing your baby's teeth as soon as they begin to appear (around 6 months). For children under the age of 3, you should just use a tiny smear of a toothpaste specially designed for kids; once 3 and over you should use a pea sized amount.
To begin with it may be easiest to use a clean cloth, or a hand silicone finger toothbrush. When the time comes for a proper toothbrush, choose one specifically for children and replace it at least every 3 months. Electric toothbrushes are not suitable below the age of 3.
You should supervise and assist your child brushing their teeth until around the age of 7, if not later!
